Change Save Location for Game DVR on My PC Windows 10. By default, Game DVR will store all games recorded in the C: \ Users \ UserName \ Videos \ Captures folder. The “C” drive is the default location for your Windows 10 installation and UserName is the name of your user account.
With the Game DVR feature, Windows 10 PC users can record their games with high quality without the help of third party applications. Game DVR has so far supported recording of the majority of existing games, default applications and installed applications from the Store, as well as classic desktop programs. However, it cannot record all areas of the operating system such as Desktop and File Explorer.
Unfortunately, Windows 10 does not provide an option for you to change the default location of the folder where screenshots and Game DVR clips are stored. Gamers who often record games often complain that their system drives are filled quickly because of this. Actually, if the drive where Windows 10 is installed is full fast or runs out of free space, you can move the Game DVR folder to another drive. But, because Windows 10 doesn’t give the option to change this default Game DVR folder, you can’t just move the Game DVR folder.
However, Windows 10 allows you to move the Videos folder (the parent folder of the Captures folder, where Game DVR stores clips and screenshots). You can use this option to move the Game DVR folder to another location. In essence, you can’t just move the Capture folder that is in the Video folder, but you can move the Videos folder.
